Empire Ambulance has EMTs, Critical Care Techs, Paramedics and EVOs to help provide the service you need. Our providers are also equipped with high level training to deliver the best care an ambulance service can.

Specialty Care Transports (SCTs)
Empire Ambulance hires, or trains, SCT Paramedics to supply the level of care to hospitals that a staff member might be needed for. These providers are able to assist ventilated patients, maintain any airway, multiple medications not covered in their scope of practice and any advanced certifications.

Our trainers here can provide, or teach, the necessary classes needed to attain a SCT certification if a paramedic doesn't possess one.

Trips
Whether it be a medical or non-medical transport, anything over a 75mile distance would be considered a trip. Our providers are given a trip bonus plus a stipend per person to acquire food at whatever place they go to. You can be dispatched to one on shift or you can come in and just do the one transport and be done for the day!

911 Service
Empire Ambulance has a dedicated bus for the city of Cohoes, meaning that they are not required, nor allowed, to do any facility transport. Our providers share a station with Cohoes Central Fire as to make responding to calls more convenient when responding out of the same station. We are also a mutual aid service when our availability permits us.

Interfacility Transports
Our crews are staffed 24/7 to assist on hospital to hospital, hospital to nursing home or residence, and organ transplant team transports. We have a GPS tracking system to provide fast and efficient response times to any call dispatched to. These transports also help our medical providers learn more as they will able to recognize medications, diseases, and injuries from patients that we transport safely in our ambulances.
